Shani’s 1-Year Anniversary

On the 31st of January, we marked one year since the passing of our much-loved director, Shani. Shani remains a very special part of our nursery family, and we will always hold her memory close to our hearts.

To honour and remember Shani on this meaningful day, both children and staff wore green — her favourite colour. It was a simple but beautiful way to feel connected and remembering someone who gave so much love, care, and passion to the nursery.

We also invited Elaine, a local yoga instructor, to lead some calming yoga sessions with the children. Yoga was something Shani truly loved, and we know this is something she would have smiled seeing. The children took part in a variety of gentle yoga poses, breathing exercises, and stretches, creating a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere throughout the morning. The session was not only enjoyable but also wonderfully calming, giving the children time to slow down, focus, and be present.

It was a very special way to remember Shani — celebrating her love for wellbeing, calmness, and the children she cared for so deeply. She continues to inspire us every day, and her legacy will always live on within our nursery
