Upper Pre-School

The Upper Pre-School starts from 36 months and marks an important stage before entering primary school — a very special time in a child’s life. At this stage, children step out into the preschool world without their parents and begin to acquire essential social and learning skills.

We provide a strong foundation for your child’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development in a fun, unpressured, yet stimulating environment. Each child is encouraged to use their own individuality, initiative, and creativity, while developing higher levels of concentration.

“We cannot put into words how grateful we are for everything, they have gone above and beyond what we could have ever asked for. All of the staff, even those that don't work directly with our son are so caring, loving and like extended family. All so excited to show me what he has achieved each day and our son beams with happiness around all the staff” Lauren Flanngan

Three-year-olds remind us that joy doesn’t need permission.

Children are supported to grow at their own pace, helping them become independent, secure, confident, and aware of the world around them. We believe children should not be hurried through their unique stages of play, nor distracted from their interests — instead, we nurture these interests and encourage them to make their own discoveries through play.

We follow the Letters and Sounds phonics teaching programme, supplemented with an introduction to Jolly Phonics when the children are ready.

We have built strong links with local schools to ensure a smooth and seamless transition from nursery to school. In the year before starting school, we also introduce book bags to our preschool children. They can choose their own books and read with one of their teachers before taking them home to share with their parents.
