I have 20 years’ experience bringing up my own children and have been a practitioner at Rafles Nursery and Pre – school for 8 years. I decided that childcare was the career I wanted to go into because, I really enjoyed seeing my own children grow and found the experience very rewarding. So I decided I wanted to be able to carry on watching children grow, and help them to learn and develop especially in the early years. Now that my children are older, I can see the benefits of quality care in the early years of a child’s life. I think it is also very important that children are all treated as individuals regardless of gender, race and abilities and I make sure that I incorporate this in my practice. In my spare time I enjoy time with my family as well as having some “me” time for example being able to go out to dinner with my partner. I currently hold a level 2 qualification in childcare and I am also qualified in First Aid and Safeguarding.
